Photos & Face Detection
SnapContact requests access to your device’s photo library only when you choose to select a photo.
- Face detection is performed entirely on your device
- Photos are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server
- SnapContact performs face detection only, not face recognition
- The app does not identify individuals or infer identity
Photos are processed locally only to help you manually crop and save a contact photo.
Face Data Handling
SnapContact does not collect, store, retain, or transmit face data.
- No biometric templates are created
- No facial measurements or identifiers are stored
- No face data is saved after photo processing
Face detection results exist only temporarily in memory to assist with photo cropping and are discarded immediately after use.
Contacts
SnapContact accesses your contacts only when you explicitly choose to save a photo to a new or existing contact.
- Contacts are stored only on your device
- No contact data is uploaded to any server
- No contact data is shared with third parties

SnapContact does not collect, store, or transmit:
- Contact data to our servers
- Contact photos to our servers
- Face data or face detection results
- Facial features, biometric data, or biometric templates
- Face identifiers
- Personal identity information
- Photo metadata (e.g., EXIF) for tracking purposes

How We Use Information
Information is used only to:
- Enable face detection and photo cropping locally on your device
- Save a photo to a contact only at your request
Data Sharing
SnapContact does not share photos, face data, or contact data with third parties.
The app does not upload photos or contacts to any server.
Data Retention
- Photos: Used only while you are selecting/cropping; not retained by the app after the action.
- Face detection results: Processed ephemerally in memory and discarded immediately after use.
- Contacts: Saved to your device’s system Contacts only when you confirm saving.

- SnapContact does not require accounts or sign-in
User Control
You are always in control:
- You choose which photo to use
- You choose which person/face to select and crop
- You choose whether to save a contact photo
- You may revoke photo or contacts permissions at any time via your device settings
- You can delete or edit contacts using your device’s Contacts app
Children’s Privacy
SnapContact is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
